Cairo is fun! The crazy traffic is very entertaining. Imagine a large city without traffic lights. Lots of old Fiats racing around with or without their lights on at night. How to cross the road in Cairo? Carefully! Food was great, especially the small local eateries. I had a room here at about $7 dollars a night. Clean shared baths and an elevator straight out of time.
